Chaplain Ron Pierce has been a staple in Mobile and surrounding counties for years. He has worked tirelessly in numerous efforts to make the area a better place to live and work.
Chaplain Ron Pierce is a big believer in the value of being a servant to his fellow man, his community, and his country. He began his noble journey as a member of the United States Armed Forces, serving in the United States Air Force from 1962-1966. Chaplain Pierce felt the call to volunteer for the Army National Guard in 1979 one day after Hurricane Fredrick devastated the City of Mobile and served honorably until 1998. He also served in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm from 1990 to 1991.
Chaplain Pierce has served on the advocacy and advisory committee for Searcy Hospital in addition to serving as Chaplain for the State of Alabama’s Mental Health and Mental Retardation Department.
After the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Chaplain Ron Pierce, as a member of the Crisis Response Team, spent six months at Ground Zero counseling relief workers. He was awarded the Humanitarian Award from the Mobile Office of the FBI and Mobile County Sheriff’s Office for his service immediately following his return from New York.
He is the yearly speaker for the Gideons and the Awanas. He is also a member of the North Mobile Minister’s Association, the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Mobile Optimist Club, the Friends of Semmes, the Volunteers of America, and the International Conference of Police Chaplains.
Chaplain Pierce’s focus has always been and continues to be to provide families comfort, compassion, strength, and encouragement during times of tragedy. As the Chaplain of the FBI Mobile Field Office and the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, he is highly respected. Chaplain Ron Pierce is married to Mrs. Brenda Pierce. He is a proud father and grandfather. |
