The Web pages below provide a variety of information regarding the types of oceans data that were archived by the GES DISC. Though some of the information in these documents may be outdated, they are still useful as historical reference documents.
Ocean color data from CZCS, OCTS, SeaWiFS, and MODIS-Aqua is available from the Ocean Biology Processing Group (OBPG). Processing of MODIS sea surface temperature (SST) data is is done by OBPG; and the archive and distribution of the data will be the function of the JPL Physical Oceanography DAAC (PODAAC).
