In the foreground a local is using a public announcement system to deliver a public health message to about 350 Guatemalans in both Spanish and Quek’chi while they wait to be seen in front of a clinic by USNS COMFORT providers.  The information was provided him by USPHS Environmental Health Officers and Engineer, regarding food sanitation, good hygienic practices and how to effectively treat local water supplies using “magia blanca” a chlorine disinfectant.
