Winter Heating Season

Visit the "Using Energy Wisely" link in the "In this section" area below for a downloadable pdf that includes the complete details on maximizing your home's efficiency.

Natural Gas is America's most popular heating fuel. And thanks to efficiency gains, the average American home uses 29% less natural gas than it did in 1980.

Natural gas is the cleanest and most popular home-heating fuel in America, heating more households than all other fuels combined.  Americans choose natural gas to fuel their home because it is affordable, clean, abundant and responsible.  The size of home heating bills reflects two factors:  the price of each unit of natural gas when it was purchased, as well as the amount of natural gas the customer is using – which is often related to weather.

To better understand your natural gas bill this winter and why natural gas prices are down but your home heating bill is up, please refer to the information below, or contact a member of the AGA staff.

Below you will also find helpful information on the simple, inexpensive steps you can take to better manage your heating costs.
