Description: A fairly steep trail. The rare Darlingtonia (Fly-Catcher) plant can be seen along the way as well as many vegetative and soil changes. Spring is a good time to view serpentinite associated plant species. A historical grave site as well as fishing and swimming are interests also found here. Please travel and camp with minimum impact as this trail is within the Lemingsworth Gulch Research Natural Area.

NOTE: For access to the North Fork Smith River Trail, carefully ford the North Fork Smith Wild and Scenic River. For access to the Sourdough Camp and Forest Service road 4402 carefully ford both the North Fork Smith Wild and Scenic River and Bald Face Creek.

Access: The trail is located 26 miles east of Brookings, Oregon. From Highway 101 take County road 896 (Winchuck) to Forest Service road 1107 to spur road 1107-220 and follow it to trailhead.
