FSA Payroll Specifications Provided to Agencies

A Benefits Administration Letter has been sent to agency payroll offices with additional guidelines for the deduction and remittance of FSA allotments. These guidelines are designed to provide the information they will need to make software or other system enhancements necessary to implement correct payroll processing for this program. FSA Program Administrator Announced

We have awarded a contract to SHPS Inc., of Louisville, Kentucky, to administer the FSA program. SHPS Inc., manages nearly a million FSAs and similar accounts for state and local governments, the Federal judiciary, Fortune 500 companies and other clients. Press release.

Preliminary Information on FSAs Issued to Payroll Offices

We have issued preliminary information on Flexible Spending Accounts to payroll offices so that they may begin to plan for implementation.
