GUIDE ME...

Life

Are my family members covered?

Answer:

Enrollees can elect Family Option-C to cover eligible family members. You can elect up to 5X multiples of Option C. Each multiple equals $5,000 for your spouse up to a maximum of $25,000, and $2,500 for each eligible dependent child, up to $12,500 maximum.

Public Law 104-199, Defense of Marriage Act, states, "the word ’marriage’ means only a legal union between one man and one woman as husband and wife, and the word ‘spouse’ refers only to a person of the opposite sex who is a husband or a wife."

You also can designate your family members to receive your insurance (see Order of Precedence).
