Kevin E. Mahoney

Kevin E. Mahoney has over 25 years of human resource experience. Mr. Mahoney was appointed to the position of Deputy Associate Director for the Center for Merit System Accountability, Office of Personnel Management, in November, 2005. His prior position was the Deputy Associate Director for the Center for General Government. In his current role, Mr. Mahoney is responsible for holding Federal Agencies responsible for delegated human resource authorities and compliance with merit system principles and other Civil Service laws, rules and regulations as part of the Strategic Human Capital Management initiative of the President’s Management Agenda.

In 1991, Mr. Mahoney was appointed the Vice President of Human Resources for Borders Group, Inc. Previously Mr. Mahoney served in senior human resource positions with Fidelity Investment’s, Wang Laboratories, Bloomingdales and Macys, New York.

In 1997, Mr. Mahoney joined Sullivan & Associates, an executive search firm in Birmingham, Michigan and became a Partner in 1998. He successfully completed CEO, CFO, CIO and General Counsel assignments. His clients have included Detroit Public Schools, Detroit Institute for Children, Henry Ford Health System and Lear Corporation.

Mr. Mahoney graduated from Villanova University.

Mr. Mahoney serves on the Human Resources Advisory Committee of the Graduate School, USDA. Previously Mr. Mahoney has served on the Board of Directors for Catholic Social Services of Oakland County and has been a Trustee of the Michigan Opera Theater.
