Matzek's Decision: Ducks or Draft?

Tyler Matzek of Capistrano Valley High School (Mission Viejo, Calif.) has a big decision coming up. The No. 2 player nationally in the MaxPreps Class of 2009 Top 100, Matzek signed with the University of Oregon, but the Major League draft in June could put his future in Eugene in question. Sanders Jr. Makes Big Impression

Three New Teams Enter the Xcellent 25

Rounding the bases has become an everyday thing for Austin Kaiser of Rampart High School (Colorado Springs, Colo.) Kaiser is batting .574 in 21 games so far this season and has a .655 on-base percentage. He and the Rams are now 20-1 overall heading into this week's Class 5A double-elimination Championship Series. Rampart is one of three new teams that entered this week's Xcellent 25 National Baseball Rankings.
