Helen Adams Keller was born on June 27, 1880, in Tuscumbia, Alabama. Ms. Keller was never the subject of an FBI investigation. Ms. Keller became deaf and blind at 19 months of age due to an illness. Under the direction of Ms. Anne Sullivan Macy, Ms. Keller was taught to cope with her affliction. When Ms. Sullivan died in 1936, Ms. Polly Thomson aided Ms. Keller in her work.
