  7. This is Grunsfeld's 6th spacewalk of his career with a total of 44 hrs and 52 minutes, putting him 8th on the all time spacewalk list.
  8. Today's spacewalk was the 78th spacewalk from the space shuttle. This was the 19th spacewalk in support of Hubble: 136 hrs & 30 min.
  9. Today's mission status briefing will begin no earler than 5:15pm EDT.
  10. The STS-125 mission's first spacewalk concluded at 4:12pm EDT.
  11. Both crew members are back in Atlantis' airlock. The next step is to turn the water off to their spacesuits.
  12. Grunsfeld and Feustel are now doing clean-up work. The spacewalk is expected to conclude at about 4:15 p.m. EDT.

  14. The spacewalk is a little behind the timeline. Today's mission status briefing will begin approx. 45 minutes after the spacewalk ends.

  16. Their final spacewalk task will be to install kits for faster opening & closing of the telescope doors for tomorrow's spacewalk.
  17. Grunsfeld also installed a soft capture mechanism, which will allow future vehicles to attach to the telescope for de-orbit.
  18. The new SIC&DH now is installed into the telescope and the old unit into its carrier in the space shuttle's payload bay.
  19. Feustel is engaging the bolts to install the new unit on the telescope. Grunsfeld is installing the old unit on its carrier in the shuttle.
  20. The new SIC&DH is free from its carrier. Feustel will carry the old computer to Grunsfeld at the carrier, where the two will swap units.
