IMPROVISED INCENDIARY DEVICE

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

THE DETAILS SURROUNDING THE CRIME

The FBI, ATF, Los Angeles Police Department, and Los Angeles Fire Department, as part of the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), are seeking information regarding an improvised incendiary device placed on the front porch of an elderly resident's home on Roscomare Road in Los Angeles on June 30, 2006. Although the device failed to ignite at the victim's door, arson investigators believe many innocent lives could have been lost had the device functioned properly.

Investigation has determined that the victim residence was most likely not the intended target of the attack. On July 11, 2006, an animal rights website declared that the Animal Liberation Front (ALF) had taken credit for this act, but has yet to admit placing the device at the wrong residence.

REWARD - $60,000

A reward of up to $60,000 is being offered for the identification, arrest, and conviction of the individual or individuals responsible for this crime.
