Julie Cellini

Julie Cellini, Springfield, Illinois, is chairman of the board of trustees of the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency and secretary of the board of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation. She served as chairman of the board the Illinois State Historical Library and for 20 years she has been a driving force in the creation and development of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, a $150 million project that includes a research library, a history museum featuring 21st Century technology, a restored train station, an urban park and a 620-car and bus parking garage--all located in Springfield's downtown historic district. She is currently involved in the formation of the Illinois Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission and is co-chairman of the 150th anniversary commemoration of Oak Ridge Cemetery. She is a free lance writer and works on special projects for her family-owned real estate development company headquartered in Chicago. She and her husband Bill are the parents of two adult children.
