Campaign Logo Use Policy

Overview

The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s COPD Learn More Breathe Better® campaign creates tools and materials that are copyright-free and in the public domain. Permission is not needed when duplicating materials. However, organizations that reproduce campaign information should cite “COPD Learn More Breathe Better®, a campaign of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute,” as the source.

We further ask that no changes be made in the content of the material, and that the material as well as any NHLBI Internet links not be used in any direct or indirect product endorsement or advertising.

Customizing COPD Learn More Breathe Better® Materials with Your Logo

The COPD Learn More Breathe Better® logo appears on all campaign products and materials. Individuals and organizations are encouraged to reprint the materials and add their own logo. Customized materials may be ordered by contacting the NHLBI Health Information Center. Print-ready files may be requested via email to COPD@HagerSharp.com. Products and materials that are not developed by or in partnership with the NHLBI and the campaign should not display the COPD Learn More Breathe Better® logo.

Using the COPD Learn More Breathe Better® Logo

The COPD Learn More Breathe Better® name and logo are trademarked and owned by the US Department of Health and Human Services. To maintain the integrity of the campaign, use of the COPD Learn More Breathe Better® logo requires approval from NHLBI. Additionally, the logo can only be used for materials and activities related to COPD.

Approved partners may incorporate the campaign logo into a variety of materials (e.g., PSAs, advertisements, in-store displays) to help raise awareness of COPD, its symptoms and risk factors. All materials are subject to review and must be approved by NHLBI.

The following required language must appear at least once on ALL partner materials (e.g., Web site, fact sheet, etc.) that include the COPD Learn More Breathe Better® logo. This copy may appear in small (mice) print so as not to interfere with the design.

Required trademark language: COPD Learn More Breathe Better® is a trademark of DHHS.

NHLBI’s COPD Learn More Breathe Better® campaign encourages individuals and organizations to use its campaign logos, messages and materials and to distribute them to a variety of audiences. When reproducing materials, the NHLBI recommends adding one of the following statements:
