Frequenty Asked Questions

Why am I no longer required to provide a password when I register or when I check my profile?
We've recently switched to a new e-mail delivery system and it does not require passwords. However, your profile is still protected through the e-mail confirmation system. Any time a change is made to your profile, you will receive an e-mail alerting you about what was modified.

What should I do if my e-mail service or client is blocking your e-mails?
To ensure you receive e-mails from the eNetwork, please add the eNetwork@samhsa.hhs.gov e-mail address to the address book or "safe list" within your e-mail account or your virus software.

How many e-mails can I expect to receive from the eNetwork?
The SAMHSA eNetwork sends out a variety of e-mails to our members. The number of e-mails that you receive from the eNetwork will vary depending on the topics you select in your profile. Selecting more topics in your profile will likely increase the number of e-mails you receive on a regular basis. Likewise, selecting fewer topics will decrease the volume of eNetwork e-mails you receive regularly.

How do I change my mail (topic) preferences?
Go to the Update My Profile page to change your areas of interest.

How do I stop getting these e-mails?
You can unsubscribe from the eNetwork at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any eNetwork e-mail. You can update your e-mail preferences, by clicking Update My Profile to change which eNetwork topics you would like to receive or stop receiving.

Why do you need to know what state I live in?
Periodically we may send eNetwork e-mails that feature state-specific announcements and publications. Please note that SAMHSA respects your Privacy. We do NOT share, sell or rent any subscriber information.

How can I access old SAMHSA eNetwork e-mails?
Go to the eNetwork Archives, which lists all past e-mails sent through the eNetwork.

Is my information kept private?
Yes. Your privacy is important to SAMHSA. The information you provide is voluntary, and is only used for SAMHSA eNetwork communications. For more information, please see SAMHSA's Privacy Policy.

Why am I not able to open links from previous eNetwork e-mails?
We've recently switched to a different e-mail delivery system. Because of this switch, any links found in e-mails sent prior to June 1, 2008 will not work correctly. If you'd like to locate a link that was in one of the e-mails you received, please check for it in our eNetwork Archives.
