Mr. Schiff: A farmer and his wife in Illinois got themselves into big trouble, off the field…

Mr. Stone: "The FBI received a tip that there was a farmer, potentially committing bankruptcy fraud, due to hiding assets from the bankruptcy court.”

Mr. Schiff: That’s Special Agent Marshall Stone at the FBI’s office in Springfield, Illinois.

Mr. Stone: "They were charged with defrauding the bankruptcy court and creditors by making false statements during the bankruptcy proceedings, hiding assets, undervaluing assets, and failing to disclose income.”

Mr. Schiff: Stone says the farmers hid some equipment behind a fake wall in a building on his property. The husband was arrested away from his home.

Mr. Stone: "We were able to locate him, working, driving a dump truck in Wood River, Illinois. He was waiting to enter through a security gate regarding one of his runs, and we were able to arrest him out of the dump truck.”

Mr. Schiff: It’s 10 years in prison for the farmer and two for the Mrs. I’m Neal Schiff of the Bureau, and that’s the FBI’s Closed Case of the Week.”
