Illegal Use of Corporate Credit Card = $613,000 - II
Listen with Windows Media Player

Mr. Schiff: It’s a case of embezzlement that reached the high six figures. At the Indianapolis FBI office, Special Agent Dennis Halliden says there was a purchasing manager at a company making foam boards from packing material but the manager didn’t use his company credit card for just those materials...

Mr. Halliden: "Anything that that plant needed in terms of parts to make machinery work, to the components, or the materials that went into making the foam boards; that was his job to get that stuff and buy it for the plant.”

Mr. Schiff: Halliden says the subject had a drag racing business and illegally bought things for that such as parachutes and pistons...

Mr. Halliden: "Engines, high performance seats, helmets, fire retardant racing suits.”

Mr. Schiff: Halliden says hundreds of thousands of dollars in car items were bought with his company credit card...

Mr. Halliden: "About $600,000 in over a period of about five years.”

Mr. Schiff: The FBI got some warrants and found a stash of car parts and materials in the subject’s barn near his home. It’s 16 months in prison after a guilty plea by the purchasing manager. I’m Neal Schiff of the Bureau and that's the FBI's Closed Case of the Week."
