The Denali Commissioners approved a draft FY09 Work Plan at the Commissions November quarterly meeting. The Work Plan is based on a continuing resolution, in which the Commission would receive the same amount of funding as last year. The funding for FY09 will not be known, however, until as late as March 6th.  The Work Plan is posted on our website for public comment through January 15, 2009. Please take a look and submit comments prior to the 15th.

The Energy Advisory Committee met several times in 2008 and the next meeting is scheduled for February 9, 2009 at the Commission office in Anchorage. The meeting announcement and agenda will be posted to our website approximately two weeks prior.

The Alaska Forum on the Environment conference will be held in Anchorage February 2-6, 2009 at both the new Dena’ina Convention Center and the Egan Center. The Commission is a sponsor for this event and will be hosting tracks and events on Wednesday, February 4th.  A large turnout is expected and we look forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new folks.
