Currently, Ms. Rehfeld is the State of Alaska Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). She was appointed as a Commissioner in March 2007.

Previously, Ms. Rehfeld was the deputy commissioner of Education & Early Development. As deputy commissioner, she was involved in every policy and administrative area for which the department is responsible. She was a key player working with the Legislature and the State Board of Education & Early Development in budget, legislative, regulatory, and other activities.

Ms. Rehfeld was also an administrator for a public accounting firm and a private consultant to the Offices of the Governor, Lieutenant Governor and various departments of state government.

Ms. Rehfeld served as a special assistant to Governor Hammond and as the executive director for the reapportionment board for the 1981 reapportionment plan for state election districts.

Ms. Rehfeld holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of Idaho, Moscow. She and her husband, Bob, have three daughters.

Ms. Rehfeld was appointed by Governor Sarah Palin to sit as the State of Alaska co-chair.
