The FBA Is Offering Twelve Credits You (or someone you know) Must Have This Year As of 2009, all new Ohio lawyers must complete 12 hours of specialized New Lawyer Training credits in their first reporting period. The Federal Bar Association has responded and is offering its 2009 New Lawyer Training
Curriculum - a series of four substantive NLT seminars plus one bonus seminar in March designed to offer new lawyers the kind of practical training they need at the beginning of their careers. Speakers include federal and state judges, prosecutors and prominent attorneys from our community. The Curriculum kicks off with a "bonus" CLE program on March 13 "What They Didn't Teach You in Law School."
The remaining four programs are offered in May, July, September and November. The programs will be videotaped, so if you can't make the date of the live program, you can still fulfill your NLT requirements. In addition, after each of these Friday afternoon seminars all attendees are invited to a wine and beer reception where they can network with panelists, our federal judges and their staffs.
