FDA ANIMAL FEED SAFETY SYSTEM (AFSS)
PUBLIC MEETING

April 5 – 6, 2005

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is holding a public meeting to discuss the Agency's progress in developing a comprehensive, risk-based Animal Feed Safety System (AFSS) describing how animal feeds (individual ingredients and mixed feeds) should be manufactured, distributed, and used to minimize risks to humans and animals from unsafe animal feed.

The meeting will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Omaha , Nebraska on Tuesday, April 5 from 8:30am - 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday, April 6 from 8:00a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Please contact Brenda Boateng at 240-453-6850 or by email at mailto:brenda.boateng@fda.govif you would like to attend the meeting.
