Your HHS or HHS-sponsored Web site should meet HHS standards and guidelines for 508 compliance.

Tools for Checking Web Site Compliance

• The Watchfire Policy Tester is used to check public facing Web site (html) for compliance. Watchfire Policy Tester is licensed for use enterprise-wide.
• Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.0 is used to check PDF files for structure and tags. 
• Additional verification testing may be supplemented by testing with commonly used screen readers. 

If you use other tools, WCD recommends you test them against the tools we use to ensure your sites and content will be in compliance.
