Help Support Your Antietam Battlefield
Antietam National Battlefield like other National Parks, has an enormous project backlog that federal funding can only begin to address. As a result park priorities such as historic restoration, land protection and youth education increasingly rely on the generosity of individuals and other private contributors. The non-profit Antietam Partner Program encourages you to join with us in preserving, protecting and enhancing this special place. Here are four ways you can make a meaningful difference:
1. Join us as an Antietam Partner
As a member you receive a National Parks Pass that provides entry into all National Parks for one full year and discounts in the Antietam Museum Store and web store. Plus, membership proceeds go directly to the park.
2. Donate to a Battlefield Project
Your tax-deductible gift furthers important work at Antietam Battlefield. Private donations help preserve the park’s monuments and cannons, plant trees to re-establish historic orchards and woodlots; restore historic fence lines and deliver education programs to tens of thousands of students and Scouts each year.
3. Become a Park Volunteer
For more information regarding the Antietam National Battlefield volunteer program, please contact the Park Volunteer Coordinator at (301) 432-4567.
4. Enlist as an Antietam Business Partner
Businesses can support preservation projects as diverse as restoring historic homes, maintaining the park hiking trails, or planting trees. There are also opportunities to sponsor the popular Salute to Independence Celebration and Memorial Illumination events, or the Education Center that delivers programs to students and youth groups. Together we can develop a program that complements your strategy and makes a positive, highly visible difference at Antietam National Battlefield.
