Our OCTOBER WINNER occurred just southeast of Natchez in Adams County on the night of the 23rd shortly before midnight. Rather impressive 50+dBz returns extended up to 33,000 feet while VILs reached 53 kg/m*m at the same time as the well-developed Meso circulation extended up through 17,000 feet. As the Cell Trend table below indicates, the cell-based VIL had peaked near 60 kg/m*m four volume scans earlier. This storm merged with the storm to it's northeast and caused tree and minor structural damage across Jefferson County after midnight.
