Definition

The <Originating_Center> is the data center or data producer who originally generated the dataset.

 
Syntax

<Originating_Center>Text</Originating_Center>

  • The <Originating_Center> field may contain 1 to 240 characters from the UTF-8 character set.
  • An acronym to identify the originating data center or data producer is sufficient.
 
Usage
  • The <Originating_Center> is recommended and may not be repeated.
 
Example

<Originating_Center>GES-DISC DAAC</Originating_Center>
