Workshops/Conferences
Facilitating information exchange on cost-effective methane emissions reduction technologies and practices is the core mission of the Natural Gas STAR Program. The Natural Gas STAR Program hosts a series of Technology Transfer Workshops and an Annual Implementation Workshop each year to further this goal.

Technology Transfer Workshops
These workshops provide a forum for oil and natural gas companies to receive and share detailed information about current cost-effective technologies and practices to reduce methane emissions in their specific sector. Workshops are free-of-charge and all are welcome.
- Natural Gas STAR Producers Technology Transfer Workshop, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, May 14, 2009 — Cosponsored by Chesapeake Energy, Devon Energy, and the U.S. EPA
The Natural Gas STAR Program will offer a Producers Technology Transfer Workshop in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on May 14, 2009. This one-day workshop offers an ideal venue for environmental professionals from natural gas production companies to meet in an informal setting to discuss topics you deal with on a daily basis and learn from industry experts on current projects. Presentations will include detailed information that participants can use to conduct feasibility assessments of these practices at their operations. The Natural Gas STAR Program will offer a Producers and Processors Technology Transfer Workshops in Billings, Montana on August 31, 2009. This one-day workshop will be held in conjunction with the Montana Petroleum Association's Annual Meeting and will focus on reducing methane emissions from natural gas production, gathering, and processing operations. Participants will engage in a peer-based exchange of technical and economic information on practices currently in use today. Presentations will include detailed information that participants can use to conduct feasibility assessments of these practices at their operations. Annual Implementation Workshop
Each year, EPA sponsors an Annual Natural Gas STAR Implementation Workshop to further the Program’s primary goal of facilitating information exchange about cost-effective methane emission reduction technologies and practices. This conference brings together Natural Gas STAR partners and industry experts to discuss the latest technologies and practices.
The upcoming Annual Implementation Workshop will be held October 19-21, 2009 at the Westin Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas. Additional registration information and the agenda will be available later in the year.
