Child Maltreatment 2005

This report was prepared under the direction of Dr. John A. Gaudiosi, Children's Bureau, Administration on Children, Youth and Families (contract number GS10F0297L, order number HHSP23320050013OU). Walter R. McDonald & Associates, Inc., with the assistance of the American Humane Association, provides the Children's Bureau with technical support for the collection, analysis, and implementation of the National Child Abuse and Neglect Data System (NCANDS), the source of the data for this report. The Technical Team Director was Ying-Ying T. Yuan, Ph.D. and the Report Manager was Madonna Aveni.
