The JCSAT-9 will be based on the award winning A2100AX platform, manufactured by Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Systems, Newtown, PA with a minimum service life of 12 years. JCSAT-9, owned by Japan Satellite Systems, Inc. will relay voice, data, and television signals via to eastern Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and India. It will be located at 132 degrees East Longitude. The high-power hybrid spacecraft carries C-band, Ku-band and S-band transponders.
