2009 ACM SIG Elections
The 2009 ACM SIG Elections commence on April 1st. ACM SIG members will have the option to vote either by the Internet or by paper ballot. All active members of the following SIGs were sent a postcard and an email message from Election Services Company (ESC) providing information about voting: SIGACCESS, SIGACT, SIGAda, SIGAPP, SIGBED, SIGCHI, SIGCOMM, SIGDA, SIGDOC, SIGEVO, SIGGRAPH, SIGITE, SIGKDD, SIGMIS, SIGMM, SIGMOBILE, SIGMOD, SIGPLAN, SIGSAC, SIGSAM and SIGSOFT.
Revamped ACM Career & Job Center Launches
ACM's Job Board has relaunched with new and updated graphics, easier-to-navigate categories for both job seekers and employers, and a new resumé data parsing system that allows users to simply upload résumés as a Word or PDF document. Visit ACM's Job Board to post jobs, post a resumé in the Resumé Bank, view job openings, and more.
The Journal of the ACM (JACM) is seeking a new Editor-in-Chief. The committee will start evaluating candidates after July 1. For more information please visit the JACM home page.

New Member-Get-A-Member 2008–2009 Campaign Launched: ACM's online Member-Get-A-Member program is interactive, easy to use, and rewards members for helping to recruit new members.
ACM-W awards scholarships to women students for attendance at research conferences. Currently approximately 12 scholarships of up to $500 each are awarded in 6 funding cycles per year. The scholarships are open to women internationally at all levels of study.
