EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) conducted an assessment of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Automated Systems Incident Response Capability (NASIRC). The objective of this assessment was to examine NASA's capability to respond to incidents and attacks involving NASA's automated information and telecommunications systems to determine whether the Agency's incident reporting, response, handling, coordination, and information sharing capabilities are adequate. NASA concurred with our recommendations.
