The Office of Inspector General (OIG) completed an inspection of the employee background investigation process at NASA Headquarters. Our objective was to review the cost and timeliness of personnel security investigations performed on NASA Headquarters employees. NASA concurred with the report's twelve recommendations, which addressed improved operational effectiveness and management controls.
