Recovery Act: ETA Provides States and Outlying Areas with Stimulus Allotments to Supplement FY 2008 Allotments for WIA and Wagner-Peyser
The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) has provided states and outlying areas with stimulus allotments under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to supplement Program Year (PY) 2008 allotments for WIA Title I Adult, Dislocated Worker and Youth Activities Programs, and Employment Service (ES) activities. ETA has also provided the allotments for Reemployment Services.

Training and Employment Guidance Letter 13-08 provides the allotments, summarizes the relevant background, and sets for policy and procedures for "quick and effective expenditure of funds." The memorandum describes the allotment process, within-State allocations, and transfers of funds for each of the programs. The TEGL also sets forth the reporting requirements.

Questions regarding the allotments and planning requirements may be directed to the appropriate Regional Office or to the ETA Recovery Act email address eta.economicrecovery@dol.gov (please note the change from the old email address, eta.stimulus@dol.gov).
