USEPA/USAID held a workshop in San Salvador, El Salvador on March 29-30, 2007, to train potential users on the Central America Landfill Gas (LFG) Model. EPA developed the Model to help landfill owners and operators, end users of landfill gas, and other interested parties in Central America evaluate the feasibility and potential benefits of collecting and using LFG for energy recovery.
