Important Information about Changes to the TAA Program
President Obama signed the Trade and Globalization Adjustment Assistance Act of 2009 on February 17, 2009. This new law was part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which is referred to as the "stimulus bill".
This new legislation has changed the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) for Workers program. The Department of Labor is in the process of reviewing the new provisions of this law as they apply to the TAA program. Information on these changes will be posted here and updated on a continuing basis beginning on March 2.
