Solicitation for Competitive Applications

The Minority Business Development Agency is soliciting operators for its Minority Business Opportunity Center (MBOC) Program in the following areas:

*MSA is defined as the Metropolitan Statistical Area.

A general notice was published in the Federal Register Notice on December 11, 2007.   In addition, a notice was also published in www.Grants.gov.  

A Federal Funding Opportunity (FFO) Announcement was concurrently released and distributed on December 11, 2007 and amended on December 18, 2007. Applicants interested in competing for this solicitation should review the amended FFO (see attachment) below.

The deadline to apply under this competition is Friday, January 18, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. EST. Successful submission of an application is defined as MBDA having received the full package by the deadline. 

A Pre-Application Conference was conducted on Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. EST. This session was recorded and is accessible through January 11, 2008, 10:00 p.m., CST by calling 1-402-998-1608.

The Minority Business Development Agency is soliciting operators for its Minority Business Opportunity Center (MBOC) Program in eight locations.  A general notice was published in the Federal Register Notice on Tuesday, December 11, 2007.   In addition, a notice was also published in www.Grants.gov.  

Applicants interested in competing for this solicitation should visit www.Grants.gov. The deadline to apply under this competition is Friday, January 18, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. EST.

Applicants are invited to participate in a Pre-Application Conference scheduled for Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. EST.   This will be an excellent opportunity for applicants to ask general questions regarding the program.   To participate in the pre-application conference:

·        You will then come to a page that asks for the conference confirmation number and pass-code

o       Select the proceed button 

·        Fill in all fields of the form and select the submit button

·        Note, if you do not complete all the fields you will not be admitted to the pre-application conference

·        Teleconference information will be displayed. Please write-down this information and use on the date and time of the Pre-Application Conference.

·        Presentation information will be distributed on Tuesday, December 11^th. Please be sure to provide your correct email address.

Pre-Application Conference Registration will close Monday, December 17, 2007 at 5:00 p.m., EST.
