U.S. Courts is pleased to offer this free email subscription service through GovDelivery. This service allows visitors to uscourts.gov to receive notifications by email when new information is available, including news, newsletters, specific web site content and other alerts. If you sign up for automatic updates, the service will notify you with an email sent directly to your inbox. You will only receive email updates on topics that you specify. You may unsubscribe at any time.

How to Start, Change or Cancel Your Email Subscription

To receive U.S. Courts email updates, simply enter the email address where you would like to have the notifications sent and select the updates you want to receive. If you already are receiving email notifications, you can change your email address, modify your password, add or delete subscriptions, or remove your email address from this service by clicking here.

Wireless Updates

In addition to receiving Email Updates, you can now get the Emergency Notices & Updates sent directly to your cell phone or mobile device. The U.S. Courts offers text message alerts for Emergency Notices & Updates on some major incidents (such as a hurricane or other large scale crisis) involving wide-spread court operations soon after official information is made available. Always check with your local court for the latest operating status and procedural guidance.

USCourts.gov will automatically send a Wireless Alert wireless updates (short text message) to your preferred cell phone number when notices are broadcast.*

How to Subscribe to Wireless Updates

Print or refer to these instructions as you add subscriptions.

  1. Create a New Account or Login to modify your preferences and add subscriptions.
  2. Under Optional Secondary Email Address, add your cell phone number and use the drop down menu to identify your wireless carrier.
  3. Select the Wireless Alerts preferred checkbox and save your changes.
  4. Then, on the Subscription page, the Emergency Notices & Updates list that supports Wireless Text Message Alerts is designated with a wireless updates symbol.
  5. Check the box next to Emergency Notices & Updates, and save your changes.

When a notice is issued, you’ll automatically receive a short text message at the specified Wireless Preferred phone number.

Privacy Policies

When you sign up for this subscription service, you will be asked to provide your email address and select the updates you would like to receive. Providing this information is voluntary. It is necessary to provide this information in order to participate in this service.

GovDelivery will use the information you provide to deliver the notifications you have requested and to allow you to update your subscription preferences. The U.S. Courts does not charge for this service however your wireless carrier may charge a fee for email or text messages.

By subscribing to receive updates from USCourts.gov, you acknowledge that it is your responsibility to review your wireless or mobile plan for additional fees and costs.

U.S. Courts will only send Wireless Alerts to the devices you specify and only for the item to which you subscribe.
