1993.01.06 : Medicare Benefit Payments Contact: Anne Verano (202) 690-6145 January 6, 1993 Medicare payments for health care services in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 1992 were nearly 12 percent greater than the payments in the same quarter of FY 1991, according to data released today by the Health Care Financing Administration. Acting HCFA Administrator William Toby Jr. said Medicare benefit payments in the July-through-September quarter of FY 1992 amounted to $33.7 billion, up $3.6 billion from the $30.1 billion spent in the same quarter of FY *This is an archive page.
