NASA/GSFC PATHFINDER Ocean altimeter data
Overview: A long time series of global sea level data, processed
with stable calibration and community consensus algorithms from all altimetric
satellites (Seasat, Geosat, ERS-1,-2, and TOPEX/Poseidon). It provides a
geodetically consistent data set for climate research. Data are available
as 1Hz colinear sea surface height anomalies and 10 day or monthly gridded
fields, both in CD-ROM and by FTP, about 2 months after acquisition.
Details of the data processing procedures and a validation of the data sets
against a global network of high quality tide gauge measurements are
provided in two NASA Technical Memorandums.
