Major Actions Taken to Date

  • On Monday, March 16, HHS released $186.5M in ACF Foster Care and Adoption Assistance funds, relating to an increase in the matching rate.
  • On Wednesday, March 18, Vice President Biden announced the award of nearly $100M to provide meals to low-income older Americans in need under AoA's Congregate Meals and Home-Delivered Meals programs.
  • On Thursday, March 19, HHS announced the members of the Comparative Effectiveness Research Federal Coordinating Committee.
  • On Friday, March 20, HHS announced $268M in Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospitals (DSH) increased State allotments.
  • OMB completed review of several HHS spending plans, and once necessary documents are prepared, funds will be released or funding opportunities will be made public.

  • We continue to review spending plans and could possibly announce and/or begin releasing funds under operating plans for additional ARRA programs.
