Objectives: Determine whether arthropod prey availability affects the abundance & distribution of HAVO birds Identify threats to arthropod prey from alien ants & parasitic wasps

| Accomplishments: Sampled arthropods on foliage at 8 sites across moisture & elevation gradients Surveyed distribution of ants & parasitic wasps |
Significance: Managers will be able to plan bird restoration based on the availability of food Results of alien competitor surveys will complement studies of other limiting factors (e.g., disease) |
