Subject: identifying hostnames

Dear NERSC SP users, This is the first in a series of brief notices to highlight important information for SP users. When reporting SP problems to the NERSC Consultants, it is important to identify the hostnames of the nodes you used. The LoadLeveler environment variable LOADL_PROCESSOR_LIST is often inadequate. A local tool, phost, has been provided to provide a list of hostnames and processor numbers for each poe/MPI processor. Please include this in your LoadLeveler scripts to collect hostname information. (e.g., poe phost).
