Travel Health Warning

As a result of the Public Health Emergency for Novel Flu, OPDIVs and STAFFDIVs are advised to use caution when authorizing non-essential travel, such as conferences and administrative meetings, to areas with laboratory confirmed cases of Novel flu (H1N1). At this time, the DHHS is not restricting such travel, and will continue to monitor the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other officials on this matter. Should a travel restriction be imposed, guidance for reviewing and approving waivers will be provided.

Beginning in mid-2009, when making an air reservation, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will require you to provide your full name, date of birth and gender as shown on the identification document you present at airport security check-points.
