Federal Agency Employers Welcome

ES ThankYou

As the nation's largest single employer, the Federal Government plays an important role in the child support enforcement program. There are more than 4 million Federal employees:

  • 2.7 million civilian employees (including USPS)
  • 1.4 million military personnel

There are an estimated 2.6 million military retirees.

Federal and state laws govern the requirements that Federal agency employers must follow to comply with the child support enforcement program. The requirements placed upon Federal agency employers are somewhat different from those placed upon private sector employers. Information for private sector employers is covered in the "Private Sector" section.

We welcome Federal agency employers to this section of the Employer Services website.
