The Office of Management & Administration (53) provides comprehensive support services to the VAOIG. This Office promotes VAOIG organizational effectiveness and efficiency by providing reliable and timely management and administrative support, and by providing products and services that promote the overall mission and goals of the VAOIG. The Office of Management & Administration also strives to ensure that all allegations communicated to the VAOIG are effectively monitored and resolved in a timely, efficient, and impartial manner.

The Follow-up & Policy Section (53A) conducts follow-up reporting and tracking of VAOIG report recommendations to ensure implementation or resolution. The section also provides strategic, operational, and performance planning; coordinates and reviews proposed legislation and regulation; and develops VAOIG policies and procedures.

The Information Technology Division (53C) promotes VAOIG organizational effectiveness and efficiency by ensuring the accessibility, usability, and security of VAOIG information assets; developing, maintaining, and enhancing the enterprise database application; facilitating reliable, secure, responsive, and cost-effective access to this database, VA databases, and electronic mail by all authorized VAOIG employees; providing internet document management and control; and providing support to all VAOIG components.

The Financial & Administrative Support Division (53D) promotes VAOIG organizational effectiveness and efficiency by providing reliable and timely management and administrative support services.

The Hotline Division (53E) is the focal point for contacts made to the VA Office of Inspector General. This Division operates a toll-free telephone service 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern Time. Phone calls, letters, and e-mail are received from employees, veterans, the general public, the Congress, GAO, and other Federal agencies reporting issues of fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement. Due consideration is given to all complaints and allegations received, and mission-related issues are addressed by VAOIG or other Departmental staff. The Budget Division (53G) promotes VAOIG organizational effectiveness by providing a full complement of budgetary formulation and execution services to OIG management and organizational components, including formulation of submissions and operating plans; monitoring allocations, expenditures, and reserves; conducting financial analyses; and developing internal budget policies.

The Data Analysis Division (53T) provides automated data processing technical support to all elements of the OIG, and other Federal and governmental agencies needing information from VA files. Data Analysis Division products facilitate the identification of fraud-related activities and support OIG comprehensive initiatives that result in solutions beneficial to the VA.
