Review of Missouri's Medicaid Management Information System Expenditures for the Period October 1, 2004, Through September 30, 2007

Executive Summary

Of the ($61.8 million (Federal share) of Medicaid Management Information System costs that the Missouri Department of Social Services claimed at the enhanced rate for the period October 1, 2004, through September 30, 2007, $67,200 (Federal share) was unallowable because the State agency claimed these costs at incorrect reimbursement rates. The $67,200 consisted of incorrectly claimed administrative ($54,500) and postage ($12,700) costs. The remaining $61.73 million (Federal share) in claimed costs were allowable and equitably allocated.
