Children's Museum of Southeastern Connecticut NEH: $ 500,000 To support construction for major humanities space in the museum's new building and endowment to support humanities programs at the new location in New London, Connecticut. NEH: $ 350,000 To support document conservation and fund-raising costs as well as an endowment providing salary for librarians engaged in the American Overseas Digital Library. NEH: $ 500,000 To support endowment for two humanities positions: the Director of Interpretation and Education and the Curator of Landscape; and restoration of the Magasin du roi (King's Storehouse) as a year-round education center. To support endowment for the Center for Georgia Studies for an assistant director's salary, library acquisitions, production costs for a scholarly journal, research fellowships, a multidisciplinary course and a film festival. To support an endowment for an annual summer institute for elementary and secondary school humanities teachers, related regional workshops, scholar visits to schools, and salary for an education coordinator. To support an endowment for Native American audio programs distributed nationally. NEH: $ 500,000 To support an endowment for the university's Freshman Studies program, including a summer faculty symposium; visiting scholars, artists, and performers; staff positions; library and technology acquisitions; assessment; and dissemination. NEH: $ 500,000 To support an endowment to fund humanities programming, upgrade the museum's web site, hire outside scholars for research and evaluation, implement a comprehensive collections management program, and plan for such efforts as the museum's new American Immigrant Heritage Center. NEH: $ 150,000 To support endowment for a part-time humanities coordinator, strengthening humanities holdings, program publicity, and humanities programming. NEH: $ 300,000 To support endowment to fund a key humanities position of Education Director, hire humanities scholars as consultants and program participants, and support expanded humanities material on the museum's Web site. NEH: $ 100,000 To support an endowed distinguished professorship in literature and the humanities in a new cross-cultural doctoral program in English emphasizing Latina/o literature and the college-level teaching of rhetoric and writing, especially at institutions with diverse student populations.
