Subject:	PGHPF evaluation version on NERSC's gseaborg

Dear NERSC SP User, NERSC has installed a evaluation version of Portland Group High Performance Fortran (PGHPF) on gseaborg. The license is valid through Jan. 29, 2001. We are currently evaluating the users community's needs and desires regarding High Performance Fortran on the Phase II SP system. We propose (1) eliminating the unsupported IBM product, xlhpf, and (2) installing PGHPF if user interest justifies the cost of a license. Please let me know if you use or would like to use either HPF compiler (ragerber@nersc.gov).
