[franklin-users] Franklin now available; next maintenance is March 31 |

| Dear Franklin Users,
Franklin maintenance has been completed and Franklin is now available.
The major activities completed were High Speed Network configuration
changes and relocation of server hardware to reduce congestion and
increase stability. Work was also done to prepare for the March 31
scratch reconfiguration.
Please note that the next scheduled maintenance for Franklin will start
Tuesday, March 31, at 7 AM Pacific Time. This outage is expected to
last between 24 and 30 hours; we expect Franklin to be available by
early afternoon of Wednesday, April 1 Pacific Time. System status and
maintenance progress can be monitored at:

During the March 31 outage the scratch file system will be reformatted
and a new /scratch2 will be added. NO FILES WILL BE SAVED. Both
scratch file systems /scratch and /scratch2 will have the same peak
bandwidth (~12 GB/sec) and storage (~200 TB).
