Tactical Info Exchange

Tactical Information Exchange (TIE) is the mechanism DMIS uses to record and track information related to a specific disaster and/or incident. This feature allows users to enter and share incident information through an interface that organizes the data by the following categories:

Site Information - Records data related to specific sites impacted by the incident. Sites can be recorded using street address or Lat Long and are plotted on the map.

Agent Observations and Sampling - Records data related to the observed characteristics of chemical agents and provides a format to records sampling information.

Mapping - Provides the ability to navigate, add layers, and mark-up map layers with drawing tools and drag and drop icons. These icons can be linked to other sources of information. Information can be retrieved from external GIS (Geospatial Information Systems) sources such as aerial imagery, flood plain maps, and topographical data, which can later be included in a system generated report.

Specific Needs Requests - Provides a means of communicating the needs for your organization such as, equipment, supplies or personnel. It also provides a means for your Operating Group to reply to others Specific Needs Requests.

Population Actions (sheltering, shelter-in-place, & evacuation) - Records data related to specific population actions taken as a result of the incident. Information about Shelters can be recorded using street address or Lat Long and are plotted on the map. Contact information can also be entered about the specific shelters.

Hospitals and Medical Facilities - Information about Medical Facilities can be recorded and their locations can be plotted using street address or Lat Long. Limited facility capability can also be recorded.

Casualties - High level Casualty summaries can be recorded.

Property Damage - Records data related to specific locations damaged as a result of the incident. Specific damaged locations can be plotted using street address or Lat Long. A summary page of information related to overall damage is also provided.

Weather Forecasts - Provides the capability to view current weather forecasts by ZIP
code. Current weather conditions can be recorded and saved in a permanent record.

Journal - Records individual members entries in a date/time stamped format.

Attachments - Provides the ability to attach files to incident reports.
