State Healthcare Facilities
The Wyoming Department of Health also includes five healthcare facilities located around Wyoming: Wyoming Pioneer Home, Wyoming State Hospital, Wyoming Retirement Center, the Wyoming Life Resource Center and the Veterans’ Home of Wyoming.
The Health Advisory Council, authorized by W.S. 9-2-107, provides advice and counsel on current health issues to the Department of Health director.
Institutional Review Board
The Wyoming Department of Health Institutional Review Board provides review of human research for department-related studies. The WDH IRB is registered with Health & Human Services-Office of Human Research Protection. Programs interested in conducting studies and surveys should review the protocol submission requirements found at the IRB website.
